Process of Making Cow Manure Composting Fertilizer
- Add excipients:
About 30-70% of high-carbon materials, such as sawdust, sawdust, bagasse, straw powder and rice husk powder, are added to cow manure. It can also be fermented directly with faeces (however, the water content and the porosity and air permeability of feces should be adjusted).
- Usage and dosage:
0.05% – 0.2% (total weight of fermentation materials), and it is recommended that the temperature should be above 5 ℃. The dosage can be adjusted according to different materials, environmental temperature, moisture content and other conditions.
- Moisture adjustment:
The moisture content is controlled at 50% – 60%, and the materials are agglomerated without water drops by hand, and they are scattered when they are released.
- Stack height:
When the stacking height is 0.8-1.5 m, and the ambient temperature is below 15 ℃, cover with film or straw curtain, and uncover the covering when the internal temperature rises to 25 ℃. When the temperature of the stack rises to 60 ℃, it will be overturned once a day. If the temperature exceeds 65 ℃, it needs to be overturned several times. The height should not be less than 80cm and the ambient temperature should be above 15 ℃. In winter, we should try to raise temperature and ferment.
- Maturity mark:
When the temperature of the stack was reduced, the material was loose, there was no original odor of the material, and there was a slight ammonia smell, and white hyphae were produced in the heap.
Cattle manure is rich in nutrients, organic matter content is 24% – 27%, nitrogen content is 0.7% – 0.8%, phosphorus content is 0.45% – 0.6%, potassium content is 0.3% – 0.6%. It is one of the very good raw materials for organic fertilizer production. The finished product organic fertilizer is suitable for the geological improvement of alkaline soil and barren land, and has a good effect on increasing crop yield.
